ARTIST STATEMENT
My artworks are done in a hyper-realistic style and are characterised by translating photographs into drawings and paintings with extreme attention to detail and an intent to bring out the surreal emotions from within the subject. My work creates levels of depth with just light and shadow and enables multiple perspectives for the viewer. With my non-linear, time consuming approach and the progressing drawings developments, I find my own persona emerging within the work. Despite the attention to detail, each subject in my artwork is always my own individual interpretation and a reflection of my thoughts and state of mind.
